were called to a townhouse last week in Sao Paulo to find Barbara lifeless, her female roommate claimed she had injured her eye earlier that day after falling down.
It comes just weeks after Barbara filmed a social media clip showing her blackened and bloodshot eyes after one of her recent operations.
It is now believed Barbara was at a public defender’s house who had hired her for sexual services when she passed away, according to The Mirror.
The business is booming across the world, and is now estimated to be worth £85 billion.
In the UK alone, has risen by 5% compared to last year, with nine out of ten procedures being performed on women.
The pressure to be perfect is one women have felt for centuries, and it’s only gotten worse as surgeries to lift, suck and add become easier to get your hands on.
The term ‘Human Barbie’ or ‘Living Doll’ was first coined in 2012 with YouTube makeup tutorials showing how can transform you into a doll.
But for some, make-up wasn’t enough and they soon turned their attention to surgery to make the look last, but not without cost.
From baby oil lip injections, to flesh-eating surgeries and mysterious deaths – here’s the disturbing truth of what ‘Human Barbies’ do for a life in plastic.
MYSTERIOUS DEATH
The 31-year-old from Brazil dubbed herself the ‘Inhuman Doll’ to her legion of 344,000 followers on .

Her list of surgeries include extreme procedures such as liposuction on the neck, abdomen, and legs, breast and buttock augmentations, eyebrow lifts, and five rhinoplasties to achieve her Barbie features.
One post shows Barbara with bruises across her face as she recently underwent a ‘mini lift’ to her face.

The Norwegian woman, who lives in the UK, may have gone under the knife countless times, but it hasn’t always gone to plan.
Back in 2016, the self-titled ‘Bimbo’ confessed that her first boob job went so badly she had to get it reversed.
Appearing on an episode of Botched! Alicia said she enlarged her breasts from ‘nothing’ to 650CCs but they got so infected, they hardened her right breast.
Surgeons refused to operate unless she went for smaller implants, something Alicia turned down as she also wanted her ribs removed and a BBL.
They warned her that the procedures were all ‘very dangerous to do’ and she could end up putting her life at risk if she went ahead.
But undeterred, Alicia has since gone on to have an even bigger boob job, as well as surgeries on her forehead, eyes, nose, cheeks and lips.
On top of that, she has exaggerated her features further with filler which she has in her nose, cheeks, lips, chin and jaw.
On X, she admitted that she had to “erase who she used to be in order to become a plastic bimbo”.
“I’ve always been attracted to the extreme and wanted to look like a bimbo,” she wrote.
“Some people think I’m mad but I don’t regret having the surgery. In fact I’d like my breasts to be even bigger in future.
“I want to look as plastic as possible and inspire other girls to do the same. I don’t think I will ever stop having surgery. It is a huge part of me.
“Bimbos don’t age, we’re just getting more and more plastic.”
Plastic Surgery Addiction
Plastic surgery addiction is a behavioral disorder which causes a person to want to constantly change their appearance by undergoing plastic surgery, accoridng to Addiction Centre.
The desire for plastic surgery often arises from the insecurity that people feel about how they look.
This is a normal emotion that everybody occasionally experiences.
But when insecurity becomes obsessive and plastic surgery becomes the centre of a person’s life, there is a serious problem.
Plastic surgery addiction often begins with an initial and positive experience.
As soon as plastic surgery becomes the solution to negative self-perception, some people will sign up for as many procedures as they can afford.
Some plastic surgery addicts even try to modify themselves to look like someone else, such as a celebrity they admire.

Kerry, 35, has splashed out £280,000 on becoming the UK’s only ‘verified’ Barbie.
Taking a decade to transform her look, Kerry has undergone two nose jobs, two boob jobs taking her from a 32B to a 28G, Botox, and fillers in her cheek and lips.
And while her previous surgeon has refused to do anymore work to the mum, claiming she is planning to get her fix elsewhere, despite having botched procedures before.
Kerry revealed she had lip filler in 2016, that caused her lips to swell up ‘like bits of liver.’
The procedure, done in Essex, set her back £250, but within an hour Kerry could sense something was wrong.
“It felt like I had been slapped across the mouth,” Kerry told Fabulous.
“They swelled up like bits of liver. The bruising was like I had just had a fight with a boxer and it lasted three weeks.”
“She also must have hit some sort of vein or nerve because I could feel something swelling in my lips and down near my chin,” she added. “I am actually quite numb in my lip after what she’s done to me.
“I can’t drink out of a bottle without it spilling, as I can’t feel anything there and when it gets really cold the lip doesn’t move properly and I talk funny. I think it’s where she did stuff to the nerves.”
She was later told while getting it dissolved that the filler had been mixed with something like baby oil.
But that didn’t stop Kerry and her intent to becoming doll-like has seemingly had a worrying impact on her
She wants her 21-year-old, Bethaney to follow suit.
The mum revealed she had put aside £20,000 for her then 12-year-old daughter to get work done.
“If she wants a boob job, lipo, anything like that then I’ll pay for her to have it done.”
While her daughter is more of a ‘tomboy’ Kerry still has hopes she’ll change her mind.
“It would be nice for us to be able to share the Barbie look, and that’s why I’ve got put away for her,” she claimed.

The cosmetic nurse turned influencer has had five boob jobs, bum implants, six nose jobs as well as and filler.
But Tara has since been banned from getting any more surgeries in Australia due to her tiny 45kg frame.
Unswayed, Tara has gone to extreme lengths to get another boob job by appearing on the US TV show Botched! in an attempt to convince doctors Paul Nassif and Terry Dubrow to give her bigger boobs.
Despite already having 540 CC breast implants, the influencer said she had noticed a “rippling” effect on her skin, and hoped that bigger breasts would fix the issue.
“Everything is tiny on me except for my tatas… I’m on a quest for a bigger chest!’ she said.
The surgeons refused to operate on Tara as she was far too small to have bigger implants.

IT'S important to do your research if you're thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad.
It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks.
Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.
No surgery is risk-free. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.
If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.
Overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or they may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.
Also, they may not have a healthcare professional in the UK you can visit if you have any problems.

The 47-year-old has spent a total of £73,000 to look like a real-life Barbie doll and has relied on some bizarre treatments to complete her transformation.
Marcela coughed up £9,000 to get someone else’s fat injected into her face and body.
Known as Renuva, the injectable is derived from donor tissue, which is stripped down, so that it only contains naturally occurring proteins, collagen and growth factors.
She has also got her son involved in her quest for beauty by having his blood injected into her body.
“I have been told that your body welcomes this boost like a traveler quenched by a sip of water after a long journey,” she said. “At the end, I should be left feeling stronger, steadier and more supported.”
Her journey with beauty enhancements first began 13 years ago. Since then, she has had countless procedures, including a boob job, cellulite treatment, muscle toning and had skin treatments to restore her hands.
“All my life, I’ve been trying to look like a doll,” she told Truly.
“I wanna emulate , she’s my idol. I believe I can be anything I want.”

FLESH-EATING SURGERY
Jessica Alves, 41, confessed to having over 100 cosmetic procedures done, and despite suffering from a flesh-eating infection, has no plans to stop.

Jessica, who came out as transgender five years ago, was previously known as Rodrigo, and went through multiple procedures to look like a ‘Ken doll’ before pivoting to ‘Barbie’.
She has had bum implants, breast implants, a facelift, 12 nose jobs, and has had four of her ribs removed to make her waist super tiny.
The Human Barbie revealed that the worst mistake she made was flying to Iran for a nose job.
While she said it looked ‘perfect’, she soon noticed something was off two weeks later when her nose turned red.
Jessica was rushed to hospital and almost died after skin necrosis took over her nose.
“A horrible hole has appeared in my nostril and the infection is eating my nose, and I’ve been warned if it is not stopped, it could eat into my face.”
Skin necrosis is when the tissue dies and it can quickly spread around the body, leading to fatal consequences.
At the time, she said she was done with surgery but has since gone back to her old ways, turning herself into Barbie.
Jessica revealed her body “is like a car that needs an MOT.”
“I’ve had so many surgeries that now and again things need to be repaired and fixed,” she said.
