He took on the huge cycle just a week after cancelling his show to be with his family after his beloved dad, Alan Milward, during a planned heart operation.

Greg, who affectionately named his bike Tando Norris, today appeared on with and and was seen getting stuck into his rehab.

His head could be seen popping out from a mountain of bubbles as he told the broadcasters he was “really genuinely blown away”.

He admitted: “I am trying to steady myself today, I feel all over the place in a good way”.

Greg’s father Alan couldn’t be at the Murrayfield Stadium to see his son cross the finish line earlier today as he earlier this month.

Yet the fan-favourite anchor told the show he would be seeing his father, affectionately known as Big Al, soon.

He said: ” It’s nice to be home and I’ll pop and see my dad in a bit.

“He was listening and watching and very excited I had done it”.

He then told Naga the secret to his bath was adding water from the shower to fluff up the bubbles.

After he completed his 1,000km bike ride across the UK, raising over £4 million for Comic Relief, he said: “I can’t believe it’s done! I couldn’t see, I just kept bursting into tears at everyone I saw. Please, let me get off this bike.

“It feels amazing to complete that, to have done that amazing, to have pushed through it all, to be part of an amazing team, to have raised so much money, and to have finished!

“It’s been such a struggle at times but everyone has got me through it.

“The thing I will remember the most is the joy of seeing everyone.
