THE Grand National field has changed again with Grade 1-winning superstar Spillane’s Tower being ruled OUT.
The JP McManus-owned eight-year-old had been as short as 16-1 but will miss the £1million feature because he has been declared for a red-hot Aintree Bowl on Thursday.
Pied Piper, trained by Gordon Elliott, is the new 34th and final runner currently in the Grand NationalCredit: Sportsfile
There he will take on Nicky Henderson’s Gold Cup runner-up Jango Baie as well as Willie Mullins’ Impaire Et Passe.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s Protektorat and Paul Nicholls’ Pic D’Orhy complete the field for the 3m1f Grade 1.
Spillane’s Tower’s defection means the new 34th and final runner in the National as things stand is Gordon Elliott’s Pied Piper.
