A GRAN was crushed to death by a recycling lorry as it reversed down a narrow street, an inquest heard.
Daphne Stallard, 89, was discovered in the road following the horror in Llandudno, North .

A council employee was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving but released pending further investigation.
An inquest heard how Daphne was confirmed dead at the scene following the September 1 tragedy.
Her cause of death was given as severe crush injuries to her chest.
The inquest was adjourned ahead of a full hearing on a date to be set.
Daphne’s daughter Mary Stallard, Bishop of Llandaff in , was one of the first female priests in the Church of Wales.
Her husband, the Rev Charles Stallard died some years ago, but Daphne was still active in her local Holy Trinity Junior Church.
The Cambridge-educated scientist also taught in a number of high schools and was head of chemistry at a prestigious girls’ school in .
Following her death, the gran’s family described her as a “shining light of love”.
The Rev Mike Harrison of Llandudno also paid tribute, calling Daphne “a remarkable woman”.
Other worshippers described Daphne as a “lovely lady” and a “wonderful woman” after learning of the “heartbreaking news“.
A North Wales investigation into the collision is underway.
The white DAF truck was held behind a police cordon after the tragedy.
Conwy County Borough Council have confirmed that a council recycling vehicle was involved in the fatal collision.
In a statement, they said: “Our thoughts are with the lady’s family and friends.
“The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently being investigated by North Wales Police, and the Authority is assisting with those enquiries.”
