A NOSY GP surgery worker was sacked after snooping on the medical records of her own bridesmaids.

Friends of Megan Hensing, 28, got suspicious after she raised their issues with others and “guessed” pregnancy details.

A group of mums turned detective and found they were all patients at the surgery where she worked.

Hensing, a clinical coder at St Stephen’s Medical Practice in Ashford, Kent, was sacked after they raised the alarm.

A source said: “Megan’s job was simple data entry. But she was going into records sometimes six or seven times in one day for no reason.

“Some people have had catastrophic things happen and she had no right to pry.

“She’s due to get married soon and this caused a huge row as some people she was snooping on were her .”

Her nosing came to light after she let slip her “suspicions” about one friend’s pregnancy to another pal.

The source added: “She would say things like, ‘Ohh I have a feeling such-and-such is having a boy’, even though the mum-to-be was keeping the sex secret.

“It wasn’t hard to put two and two together.”

Ms Hensing also allegedly boasted at a party she “would know first” if a pal was .

Surgery audit trails showed the extent of the searches. She claimed to pals they were all work related, but admitted being sacked.

The case has been referred to the Information Commissioner’s Office, which can prosecute admin staff.

Ms Hensing told The Sun she regretted her prying and that it had “ruined” her life.

She said: “I realise it was wrong. I’ve lost two bridesmaids over this.”
