Leaders and traditional rulers in communities throughout the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have pledged their continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration. They emphasized that the appointment of a local resident from Abuja as a minister and other key national positions has enhanced the community's sense of belonging and purpose within the federation.
During visits to Karshi, Karu, Garki, and Bwari on Tuesday by the FCT Renewed Hope Ambassadors, traditional rulers and community leaders expressed their satisfaction with the performance of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike. They maintained that President Tinubu made a wise and strategic decision in appointing him to lead development in the territory.
The FCT Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Hon. Adamu Abdullahi, who led the delegation, described President Tinubu’s administration as one that history will judge favorably for its inclusive approach to governance.
He noted that appointing an indigenous son of the FCT as minister reflects President Tinubu’s dedication to fairness, national integration, and confidence in the ability of the territory's residents to make meaningful contributions to national development.
The Renewed Hope Ambassadors visited the Emir of Karshi, Alhaji Ismaila Danladi Muhammad, where representatives expressed the community’s support for President Tinubu. They also referred to Karshi as the second home of Hon. Speaking on behalf of the Emir, the Hakimin Karshi, Alhaji Jibrin Danladi Adanda, acknowledged the ongoing infrastructural development in the FCT while urging for continued government attention to further meet community needs.
While receiving the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, the Sa’karuyi of Karu, Joseph Danfulani Narai, described the coordinator as a person whose contributions to community development are clearly visible, praising his longstanding commitment to grassroots progress.
Praising President Tinubu for recognizing FCT natives for key national appointments, the Sapeyi of Garki, Alhaji (Dr.) Usman Nga Kupi, reaffirmed his community’s support for President Tinubu’s re-election in 2027. He stated that the administration’s developmental achievements in the FCT create a moral obligation for the people to reciprocate with loyalty and electoral support for the APC-led government.
The Sarkin Bwari, Alhaji Awwal Musa Ijakoro, assured that the traditional institution would fully support President Tinubu’s return, highlighting the choice of a minister whose initiatives have opened up Bwari to greater development, including improved road networks, the establishment of the Law School, and enhanced recognition of traditional rulers in governance.
Additionally, the Esu of Bwari, Dr. Ibrahim Yaro, congratulated the Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator, describing him as a person of integrity, and pledged to mobilize all tribal chiefs within his area to ensure substantial support for President Tinubu’s re-election.
