Former Liverpool, Nottingham Forest, and England striker Stan Collymore has picked Manchester City as the club to win the Premier League title this season.
Manchester City won the league for the sixth time last season, beating competition from Liverpool, who came very close to snatching the title.
They face each other in the Premier League on Sunday, and Collymore believes strongly that Pep Guardiola’s men would not only possess the game but would beat Jurgen Klopp’s men comfortably.
The Gunners were on the verge of finishing within the Champion League qualification circle last season but collapsed towards the end of the campaign.
“I think Sunday [Liverpool v Man City] will be Pep Guardiola’s day,” Collymore told CaughtOffside.
“I think his Citizens will control the game from start to finish and look almost unbeatable in the process.
“I’m not saying Liverpool are going to get thumped, but I do think City will take all three points quite comfortably.
“Unfortunately, if my prediction ends up unfolding, I think that would be the biggest sign that City are going to run away with it and lift their seventh Premier League title.”
Manchester City remain the only unbeaten club in the English top-flight this season and currently parading one of the most prolific strikers in the world.
Summer signing, Erling Haaland has scored 19 goals in all competitions for the Citizens already in the new campaign, including three back to back hat-tricks
