HARRY REDKNAPP thinks Thomas Tuchel will get ‘slaughtered” for his squad selection if England don’t win the World Cup.

Former and Tottenham boss Redknapp, 79, reckons it will come back to bite him if the Three Lions don’t go all the way in North America.
He admitted that there were players who he would have taken that Tuchel had omitted.
He said: “Yeah, but then if he’s right at the end of the day and we win the World Cup, who can argue with him?
“He will get all the credit. It will be fantastic for him and great for the country.
“I hope we win it, obviously. But if he doesn’t win it, and we have a disastrous tournament, then he will get a lot of stick.
“That’s what happens. Newspapers will slaughter him, because that is what happens.
“It’s happened over the years to different managers.
“They have all had almighty grief when we’ve not won tournaments.
“I would have taken Cole Palmer, I’d have taken Phil Foden, Harry Maguire, .
“But that’s me. The squad I would have chosen.”
Maguire played a key role for in the second half of the Premier League season after the arrival of .

Palmer did have an inconsistent season at but still notched 11 goals and three assists in 34 appearances in all competitions.
