Irish sport has seen protests erupt against Allianz, who sponspor the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
The insurance firm also holds the naming rights for Twickenham, signing a ten-year deal with the RFU worth £100m in 2024.
And dissent is expected due to Allianz’s alleged links to military companies which trade with Israel.
A report from the United Nations’ Francesca Albanese stated the firm had invested “large sums in shares and bonds implicated in the occupation and genocide, partly as capital reserves for policyholder claims and regulatory requirements, but primarily to generate returns. Allianz holds at least £5.58billion”.
The said they did not expect their affiliation with Allianz to spark backlash.
Director General Tom Ryan said: “Given our longstanding and valued relationship with Allianz Ireland, and given also the gravity of the underlying situation in the Middle East, it was important not to rush to judgement.
“It was also important to allow time and space for members to articulate their views.
“We needed to find a process to consider and manage the question carefully and appropriately.”
Security has been tightened ahead of the meeting between and Ireland, who last faced off at Twickenham in March 2024, with the Red Roses winning 23-22.
That remains England’s only win over in their last six meetings.
