ENGLAND fans are fuming after being forced to pay FOUR TIMES the usual train fares when they travel to Boston for their World Cup clash against Ghana.

‘s men then face at the Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on June 23 but fans are far from pleased at a huge hike in train ticket prices.

The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) confirmed supporters who purchase a return ticket from Boston’s South Station to Foxborough will (£60).

fan group Free Lions said they were “incredibly disappointed” with the news considering the same fare usually costs $20 (£15).

The group said: “The $80 train service from Boston’s South Station to Foxborough has been confirmed.

“At what is normally a $20 return, we are incredibly disappointed that this has been allowed to happen.

“For a stadium so far away from its advertised location, all organisers had a duty to ensure supporters could get there sustainably and for a fair price.

“Unfortunately, like much with this tournament, supporters are gouged.”

Other fans described the news as “sickening” as one accused officials of a “disasterclass”.

Another said: “It’s disgusting they can get away with it.”

A third wrote: “This is mad… diabolical.”

Milne told the Mirror: “I definitely want to see the whole tournament. I am going to the US on June 3 and will be there for seven weeks. So it will cost quite a lot of money.

“I always try to do things cheaply if I can. I will couch surf where possible; I am lucky to have friends in Mexico, Dallas, and Vancouver.

“Travel costs are expensive; I bought international flights early because you can change them even if departure times change by 10 minutes.”
