LEYTON ORIENT hope to have secured their site for a new stadium by the end of 2026, the club has told fans.
The outfit, who are 15th in the table, announced their plans to build a new stadium late last year.

Orient is planning a new “world-class,” sustainable stadium and multi-sport campus, potentially moving from Brisbane Road by 2031.
The club is working with Waltham Forest Council in a bid to create a project that benefits the local community as well as the club and this week, they sent fans a questionnaire to help them in this process.
As part of that e-mail, the club gave an update on their ambitions for a new stadium.
“In terms of a site for the new stadium, the club is continuing to work alongside Waltham Forest Council on several potential locations.
“We hope to be in a position to confirm a preferred site towards the end of this calendar year.”
Orient are also looking to build a new training ground and they are close to announcing final details on that, too.
“Our work on a new training ground is also continuing to progress and, we believe, is coming towards a pivotal point.
“A more thorough update on the training ground will be provided in due course.”
Brisbane Road, the club’s current home, has been their ground since 1937 and holds 9,241 people.
The BetWright stadium, as it is now known, could only be expanded to a maximum of around 13,000 meaning the club decided against renovating.
CEO Mark Devlin said it had become clear to the club that it was not possible to increase the current site to their desired size due to the proximity to surrounding residences, something also encountered when moving from Highbury back in the mid 2000s.
