Dramatic video shows Samina Akhtar, 30, and two friends in a physical altercation with a passerby outside her car.

After she gets back into her car, CCTV footage shows her make a three-point turn on the busy road, before directing her vehicle back onto the path.

As she attempts to flee, her car rams into a pedestrian.

The injured man tries to pull Akhtar from her vehicle after being hit, but she manages to drive away with the door still hanging open.

A jury at Bradford Crown Court heard today how Akhtar first became irate when she verbally abused the ticket warden.

The female warden was issuing her a penalty for parking her Astra at a bus stop outside an off-license.

Prosecutors argued the altercation quickly became violent, with Akhtar brandishing a metal wheel brace “in a threatening manner”, Yorkshire Live reports .

After she hit the passerby and made her escape, the enraged driver was arrested shortly after the incident in November 2024.

She reportedly told officers she had made the rash decision in a state of “panic”.

“There are a few girls hitting and swearing at me and wanted to start fighting. I will not lie, I panicked and I have driven on the footpath,” she said.

Judge Kate Rayfield said: “That was not fight or flight, that was just anger directed at someone just doing their job. That was just spoilt behaviour on your part.”

Just months after this violent incident, Akhtar was stopped by while driving.

She tested positive for cannabis, and police also found the drug in her car.

Defence barrister Verity Barnes argued her client lived in a constant state of fear and was “ultimately very sorry” for her actions.

Akhtar was sentenced to 18 months in , ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work and attend 40 rehabilitation days.

She was also banned from driving for 12 months.
