SCOTT WILLIAMS has responded to his critics ahead of a busy period on the oche.
The 35-year-old has become one of the most prominent personalities on the PDC Tour in recent years.

Scott Williams has responded to his critics ahead of a busy darts period.
His flamboyant performances on stage have divided opinions among darts fans, with some not appreciating the humor.
However, the world No. 37 has pledged to remain true to himself.
When asked if the negativity affects him, Shaggy told Online Darts last month: “Not at all.
“They’re not doing what I’m doing, so it’s not their concern. I’m genuinely a bit of a character, a bit eccentric.
“On stage, I play it up a little more, but off-stage, I’m completely myself. I won’t change.
“People either love me for it or they don’t – that’s perfectly fine. I really don’t care.
“If they don’t like it, they can switch channels. Feel free to go elsewhere and do what you prefer.”
He reached the semi-finals of the 2024 tournament but lost out on a spot in the final to the eventual champion.
After being eliminated in the third round last year, he is determined to rebound and secure his first major title in the coming months.
“I’d like to think so. I have the talent,” he continued. “It’s all about what you do on the day, your preparation, and how the darts perform.
“Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn’t. Last week I lost in the first round to Mensah Solovich; the next day I made it to the semi-finals.
“It can be a rollercoaster at times. I know I’m capable right now, but I need to refine some aspects and improve my approach.”
“The semi-finals I reached this year should have motivated me, but something didn’t click. I can’t explain it – no excuses – I just wasn’t at my best.
“In the last couple of months, I’ve slightly adjusted my equipment – using different flights and points – and everything feels more consistent, which is what I need for October, November, and December. I’m happy with how my game is progressing.”
