These two competitions are regarded as the largest darts tournaments outside of the PDC system.
However, both events are set to commence in early December, with the WDF starting on the 7th and the ADC beginning on the 1st and continuing until January.
This situation has forced Walker, 19, to make the tough choice of selecting one tournament to participate in.
The young player stated that he faced an “ultimatum that no dart player outside of the PDC Pro Tour should ever encounter.”
Taking to social media, he conveyed that it has been a “frustrating” experience having to decide which tournament to attend.
He criticized the situation as it seemed that his success had resulted in him facing a disadvantage.
He wrote: “It’s been an incredibly frustrating seven days for me.
“I’ve worked extremely hard to qualify for the Globals through the Modus system, and the amount of travel and effort I’ve put in to reach Lakeside has been significant as well.
“It’s bitterly disappointing that the system couldn't accommodate three players participating in both events.”
Walker went on to announce that he has chosen to compete in the WDF World Championship at Lakeside.
He added: “I’ll never know if I’ve made the right choice, but I’ve decided to play at Lakeside.
“Is it really my fault that I’ve qualified for two World Championships?”
Walker emphasized that the decision between the two events was “mentally exhausting” and having to decline participation in a World Championship is “devastating.”
He now aims to move past this issue, with his first match at the WDF event against Czech star Jiri Bejcha.
The winner of this match will face David Fatum in the second round.
