THE FESTIVE season may be months away – however, according to one mum, this is the perfect time to start getting ready for Christmas.
Mother-of-five Claire Roach explained that many big retailers will be launching Christmas toy sales very soon – and thrifty shoppers can snap up goodies with mega discounts.

The toys are from a variety of popular supermarkets, such as ASDA , Sainsbury’s , Tesco, Morrisons and Aldi, as well as the specialised toy retailer Smyths Toys.
According to Claire, who shared the full list on Christmas Countdown , the majority of toys will be released around mid-September.
The mega supermarket ASDA tends to be the first one to kick it off, with the discount retailer Aldi following a week or so later.
Meanwhile, the other stores typically hold off until October.
Sharing her predictions, the cash-savvy mum revealed that the Christmas toy sale at ASDA is predicted to go live on Monday, September 8th.
Just two days later, on Wednesday, September 10th, Argos will join in with their festive offers.
Those who prefer to shop at rival Tesco will have to wait until Monday, September 15th – a week later after ASDA’s epic sale.
If you don’t find anything for your little ones there, it’ll be worth checking out Aldi on Sunday, September 21st.
Meanwhile, Morrisons will kick off Christmas with their toy launch on Monday, September 29th.
According to the thrifty parent, the next retailer to join the festive buzz on Wednesday, October 22nd, will be Sainsbury’s.
The last retailer on the list – Smyths Toys – will kick off the craze a little closer to Christmas, on Tuesday, November 18th.
Sharing the valuable insights online, the parent added that ”all sales tend to end until stock lasts and have boosts in December when more items are added”.
The only exception, she warned, is Sainsbury’s ”which lasts around a week and isn’t available online”.
How to save money on Christmas shopping
Consumer reporter Sam Walker reveals how you can save money on your Christmas shopping.
Limit the amount of presents – buying presents for all your family and friends can cost a bomb.
Instead, why not organise a Secret Santa between your inner circles so you’re not having to buy multiple presents.
Plan ahead – if you’ve got the stamina and budget, it’s worth buying your Christmas presents for the following year in the January sales.
Make sure you shop around for the best deals by using price comparison sites so you’re not forking out more than you should though.
Buy in Boxing Day sales – some retailers start their main Christmas sales early so you can actually snap up a bargain before December 25.
Delivery may cost you a bit more, but it can be worth it if the savings are decent.
Shop via outlet stores – you can save loads of money shopping via outlet stores like Amazon Warehouse or Office Offcuts.
They work by selling returned or slightly damaged products at a discounted rate, but usually any wear and tear is minor.
It’s no secret that Christmas decor can cost a fortune, especially if you like to go all out over the festive season.
But according to a money-saving whizz heading to your local garden centre right now could pay off.
Posting in the popular Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK , she explained: “I know it’s too early for Christmas, but I love a bargain, especially if this size.
“All this for £90 instead of £350.
“It was from our local garden centre, I’ve seen a few garden centres having stock clearances so it’s worth a visit to your local one.”
Alongside the post, the Facebook user shared a snap of some massively discounted Christmas decorations, including a set of huge LED reindeers, reduced from £129 to just £32.50.
The garden centre also had another huge LED reindeer for just £32, plus some other shiny festive must haves.
Of course, there’s no knowing if your garden centre will have any Christmas goods up for grabs, but you could call beforehand to double check.
And if you are already in the festive mood and want to scout out even more bargain decorations, there are a few other places to try out.
Secondhand sites like eBay , Vined and Facebook Marketplace usually have a steady supply of decorations for a cheap price.
