ANOTHER Brit has been named as a victim of the devastating wildfires that ripped through southern Spain last week.
Ian Jarvis has been identified as as it ripped through an idyllic mountain village popular with expats.

Tributes flooded in for Ian, whose family said was “living his dreams” soaking up the Spanish sun as an expat living in Bedar.

Paying tribute to Ian and offering support to Dawn, Brit Bella Smith said: “I am so very sorry to hear about Ian.
“We don’t live too far away, also in the mountains. It is devastating to hear the .
“I didn’t see Ian often but we met at races and always had time for a chat and to put the world to rights.
“I always looked forward to catching up with him. He will be missed. Please let me know if I can be of any help. Sending condolences and hugs.”

In a heartbreaking post, Danielle wrote: “Mum and Dad did not survive the fire.”
She added that the family was “heartbroken” by the news and thanked well-wishers for their thoughts and prayers.
Spanish court officials confirmed the couple’s bodies had been released to their loved ones.

Victims have been so badly burnt that forensic experts have been forced to conduct testing to identify them.

In their latest statement late last night about the wildfire victims, the High Court of Andalucia said: “Over the past few days, all families were informed of the deaths of their loved ones by the Civil Guard, accompanied by teams of psychologists from the force.
“The bodies released to their families are those of a French woman, a British married couple, a Belgian man, and the 93-year-old woman from the who died in the hospital after suffering injuries in the fire.”
A FCDO spokesperson told The Sun: “Our thoughts are with all those impacted by the devastating wildfires in Spain.
“We are supporting British nationals affected and their families and remain in close contact with the Spanish authorities.”
