It comes amid a terrifying spike in armed robberies targeting individuals riding bikes.
The weapon wielding robbers have left cyclists scared to ride their bikes for fear of being pounced on.
One horrifying clip of an attempted robbery was shared online, it shows a cyclist being bowled to the ground after getting rammed by a pair of yobs on a moped.
Filmed from a dash cam, the footage shows the cyclist rounding a sharp bend in a road.
A moped with two black clad figures on the back comes speeding up behind the cyclist and rams them at speed, sending them sprawling.
One of the two robbers on the moped leaps from the seat as the cyclist tumbles end over end on the concrete.
The thug raises a large hand axe in a heart-stopping moment as the cyclist tries to regain their footing.
The robber proceeds to attempt to snatch the bike away from the floored cyclist who thankfully manages to hold on to his bicycle and get away.
When the two yobs notice the car they call off their sudden attack and retreat back onto the moped to make a getaway.
The stunned cyclist gets to his feet and runs out of sight, wheeling his bike alongside him.
Hertfordshire Constabulary warned that there has been a sharp rise in similar attacks in the area.
The force urged cyclists not to be afraid of calling the for help, saying: “We’d rather attend to find that everything is in order, than miss an opportunity to catch a potential criminal.”
One cyclist, who was targeted by a group of mask wearing yobs armed with axes on Thursday, spoke out about their harrowing ordeal.
Shaiba Ilyas told BBC London : “I didn’t know what it was. And they were shouting, ‘stop, stop’ swearing, saying stop. I sort of jammed on the brakes, almost fell into the ditch.

“I just managed to stay upright. They continued hitting me on my shoulder. I saw he was hitting me with the reverse of a sort of hand axe.
“He then turned the axe round and was waving it at my face, sort of waving it across in front of me saying, ‘give me the bike, give me the bike, get off your bike, give me the bike’.”
Ilyas said his attackers were young children, no older than 18, adding that the threat of violence left him shaken.
He was left horrified to think what might have happened had he tried to fight back.
In a bid to keep bicycles and cyclists safe Hertfordshire police is encouraging people to mark their bikes and register them on the National Cycle Database.
A local group leader warned that the attacks are unfolding along the main cycling thoroughfares out of North .
Sean Epstein, chair of the Regents Park Cyclists, railed against the senseless violence.
He said people should be able to leave their homes for exercise free of fear.
The cycle group leader stressed that the issue wasn’t expensive bikes being stolen but the massive impact of the horrific violent attacks.
Hertfordshire Constabulary’s warning was issued after a cyclist was targeted by violent robbers in the area earlier this month.
The force said: “On Sunday 5 October at around 8.20am. The victim was riding along Rowley Lane when two men on mopeds approached and threatened the cyclist before taking his bike and making off.
“The two suspects are described as black and were wearing dark motorbike helmets.
“The bike is described as a distinctive black Canyon Endurance road bike.
