During his second and third-round wins on Court 18, he had to stop playing due to stress-inducing nosebleeds, which required the help of a trainer.
But he managed to solve the issue after seeking urgent medical help before his last-16 win over Bulgarian last Monday.
, 23, revealed: “I had a little procedure a few days ago here on it. And that seemed to help.
“Just getting the blood vessels cauterised in the nose. A small thing. Nothing major. It seemed to have helped. It didn’t hurt.
“I’ve also tried to avoid wiping with a towel straight on the nose. I think that was also kind of not helping. So just a combination of things. Yeah, just a bit of luck as well.”
Fery – who turns 24 on Sunday – is aiming to become the first wildcard to reach the men’s final since Croatia’s 2001 champion Goran Ivanisevic.
The last Englishman to lift the title was three-time singles champion Fred Perry 90 years ago.
Fery versus Zverev is first on Centre Court on BBC1, so it does not clash with the quarter-final between Spain and Belgium later this evening on the same channel.
Jannik Sinner, the World No1, will play 24-time Grand Slam champion in semi-final two – this is a more high-profile fixture for a global TV audience.
It could be a special time for British sport, especially if beat Norway in Miami to reach the World Cup semi-finals.
Fery said: “It’s going to be a great weekend. Everyone’s been getting on the beers already – I don’t think I need to push them to do that.
“It’s great to see British sport doing so well. Obviously the England team had a . I’m sure they’re going to do well against Norway. So yeah, let’s just keep it going.”
