However, the striker was sent off three weeks ago with a straight red card and was slapped with a three-match suspension.

But the former international found a creative way to serve his ban and help his team at the same time.

Podolski spent his second game in the sidelines by linking up with the Gornik ultras in the stands during Saturday’s league match against Cracovia at the Zabrze Arena.

The ex- star went viral as footage showed him standing next to the lead drummer and chanting with the rest of the fanbase.

The centre-forward’s initiative appears to have inspired his team-mates as they picked up a major 3-0 victory over Cracovia.

Podolski has amassed 13 appearances with the Polish outfit across all competitions this season.

The former star moved to Gornik in 2021 and has since registered a total of 25 goals and 22 assists in 130 appearances.

The ex- star is also very active off the pitch where he has enjoyed tremendous success.

Podolski is worth £180million and is set to launch a clothing brand with his former club Koln.

The 2014 winner’s portfolio also includes a chain of kebab shops and an ice cream brand in Germany.

Podolski spent three years with where he registered a total of 31 goals and 15 assists in 82 appearances that saw him winning the FA Cup in 2014 just a year before his departure from the Emirates.
