CRISTIAN ROMERO celebrated Argentina’s brutal winner over England right in Jordan Pickford’s face.
The 32-year-old stopper was beaten by Lautaro Martinez in the 92nd minute, after hapless Three Lions boss had ordered his side to sit back with six defenders and let Lionel for almost 30 minutes.

And once the ball flew past the fuming ‘keeper and settled sweetly into the side netting, goading Spurs defender Romero raced into Pickford’s personal space and rubbed it on.
Pickford was so gutted with the injury-time surrender that he was too busy slamming the floor to notice Romero’s provocative move and did not retaliate in any way.
boss Lionel Scaloni raved about his side’s unapologetic approach.
“We are unique,” he boasted. “It’s not arrogance, it is all heart.
“Today so many people arrived here to support us and for that I am truly grateful.
“This shirt merits us giving absolutely everything possible until the very end, to not spare anything at all.”
Despite former players like and piling in on Tuchel’s woeful decision to sit on the ropes for Argentina to pepper us for thirty minutes, the German boss said he had NO REGRETS.
Despite dropping the ball massively, he rebuffed: “You can discuss this with a million coaches [but] I have to make a decision on the pitch.

“I analysed the match and I did it a certain way so that’s my responsibility.
“In the moment, no regrets. The team gave everything and we were very, very close. We deserved to be up 1-0.
“We played one of our better matches, maybe our best match in the circumstances. The team was on top, we couldn’t get over the line but no regrets.”
But ex-England and Man City defender made it clear that he buck tops with with the manager.
He said: “Thomas Tuchel was brought in to be the difference.
“Tactically, we all thought he got it wrong today, when we went to five at the back.
“I thought we could have kept the momentum going and brought on wingers.
“Ultimately, we didn’t have the answers.”
