Incredible footage shows the albino panda, thought to be around seven years old, wandering around in search of a tasty bamboo snack.

The was first discovered in 2019, when a researcher put infrared cameras in the forest where he lives.

Scientists were then able to capture video of the bear at around 6500 meters above sea level.

The stunning creature has been identified as a male in previous sightings.

It was reportedly seen approaching a panda mum and her cub earlier this year.

It’s understood that video of the bear shows that it is in a good and strong condition.

The has been seen interacting with other pandas in the nature reserve.

Li Sheng, a researcher at School of Life Sciences, said in 2023: “The white panda has built positive relationships with other individuals in the area.

“This remarkable adaptation illustrates the high-quality habitat, adequate food resources, and effective conservation measures provided by the reserve.”

Sightings of the majestic bear are reportedly highest during the spring season.

This coincides with the mating season for giant pandas, a researcher said.

Boffins are collecting hair and faeces samples from the beast in the hopes of performing analysis.

Scientists are looking to understand more about the albino bear’s biology through its DNA.

Tan Yingchun, a senior engineer at the explained what researchers were looking for.

He said: “The goal is to find out if there are other giant pandas keeping company with the white one in the area.'”

Pandas were once classified as endangered with recent conservation efforts helping the species thrive.

Less than 2,000 pandas are known to exist in southwest with the solitary creatures tending to roam remote regions.
