Adamawa State University (ADSU) in Mubi has celebrated the graduation of a total of 9,225 students, including 42 who achieved first-class degrees.
Among the 9,225 graduates, there are 8,871 undergraduates, 339 postgraduates, and 15 diploma recipients.
The formal convocation ceremony is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025.
During a pre-convocation press briefing held on Friday at the university's main campus in Mubi, Vice Chancellor Professor Augustine Clement shared this information, stating that the upcoming ceremony will combine the 15th, 16th, and 17th editions of the university's convocations.
The Vice Chancellor noted that while the 42 first-class graduates lead the group, there are also 1,734 students receiving second class upper degrees, 5,252 with second class lower degrees, and 1,842 in the third class category.
Additionally, he reported that 22 graduates will be awarded PhDs, while 100 will receive Master’s degrees.
Professor Clement also informed the press that the National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved ADSU to introduce seven new programs, which include Cyber Security and Information Systems.
The other five newly approved programs are History Education, English Education, Public Relations, Journalism & Media Studies, and Educational Management.
