The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the South-South Zone, Emma Ogidi, has announced that the party is planning to meet with Peter Obi and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.
Ogidi made this revelation on Wednesday during an interview on ‘The Morning Brief’, a program aired on Channels Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST.
During the inauguration of the National Working Committee (NWC) in Ibadan, Oyo State, the Chairman stated that he intends to take this opportunity to meet with leaders, founding members, as well as religious and traditional leaders.
“We are making the rounds. He has already met with former President Olusegun Obasanjo, IBB, and others. It's all about connecting with key figures and informing Nigerians that we are active and progressing,” he stated.
“We also plan to meet with Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar. The PDP represents the true essence of democracy in Nigeria, being the only party that has maintained its logo and vision for the country.”
“What we are currently doing is reminding Nigerians of our past contributions. There is nothing substantial that the APC is doing today; the APC is merely an anomaly,” Ogidi concluded.
