The Zamfara State Government has vowed a renewed crackdown on banditry and other criminal activities, following a high-level security stakeholders’ meeting held on Monday in Gusau.

The meeting, convened by the Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Malam Abubakar Mohammad Nakwada, brought together heads of security agencies and senior government officials to review the state’s security architecture and strengthen inter-agency collaboration.

The Deputy Governor, Malam Mani Malam Mummuni, was also present, signaling the government’s firm commitment to restoring peace and protecting lives and property across the state.

According to a statement by Suleman Ahmad Tudu, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the SSG, the stakeholders adopted ten key recommendations aimed at improving coordination, intelligence sharing, and operational effectiveness.

Nakwada, while addressing the meeting, condemned the recent attacks on communities and expressed condolences to families affected by the violence. He stressed that the government will not relent until security is restored in every part of Zamfara.

“The evolving nature of security threats demands collective and adaptive strategies. We will continue to work with all security agencies to ensure Zamfara becomes safe again,” he said.

Deputy Governor Mummuni, in his closing remarks, echoed the call for stronger synergy among security bodies and urged sustained efforts to eliminate bandit threats.

“We must secure every inch of our dear state. The time for action is now,” he added.
