Myles Hill was just three years old when he was left in a daycare van two years ago, and was found dead 12 hours later.

Deborah St. Charles was the driver.

On Thursday, St. Charles told a judge that she wants to replace her attorney, Jeff Deen, claiming that he insults her, is not working on her case, and tried to commit her to a mental health facility, all of which Deen denied.

“He told me that I am crazy. They also said I was crazy, and that within an hour you need to call a family member because we’re going to Baker Act you,” St. Charles said.

“I’m sorry about my serious tone about this, but I’m very concerned about her. And I don’t want this to jeopardize the position she’s in for trial,” Deen said.

The judge agreed with Deen, and denied St. Charles’ request for a new lawyer.

Trial is set for next month.
