THE Winter Olympics curling clash between Canada and Sweden was rocked by allegations of CHEATING and swearing.

Sweden‘s skipper was caught on camera between the second and third ends alleging that Canada‘s players were double-touching the stones in their Winter Olympics showdown.

Niklas Edin then asked the match officials: “If he does it again, is it a burned rock?

“If he does it again after the hog line?”

Edin seemingly believed that the Canadians were making contact with the granite their throwing hand after releasing the handle.

He then asked: “Can you touch the granite at any point, though, during delivery?”

Oskar Eriksson then expressed his outrage, saying: “You’re not touching the handle, you’re touching the granite.

“There’s no way you can do that. You saw them touching the rock, right?”

Canada‘s lead, Ben Herbert, then got involved to accuse Eriksson of also double-touching stones.

He said: “Is it allowed to do it or not? I saw Oskar double-touch the back of the rock there. Make sure we watch it.”

Tensions remained high until the later stages of the match, with the Swedes accusing their rivals of double-touching the stones between the ninth and tenth ends.

That prompted Canada’s third Ben Kennedy to lose his rag and launch a foul-mouthed tirade.

A raging Kennedy, who Eriksson appeared to accuse of cheating, said: “I haven’t done it once. You can f**k off!

“I can show you the video after the game.”

Canada ended up winning the fiery fixture 8-6 thanks to a four-ender in the eighth end.

Kennedy, however, wasn’t in the mood for celebrating, saying: “I don’t like being accused of cheating after 25 years on tour and four Olympic Games.

“[Oskar Eriksson] pulled a hog-line official on us to make sure we weren’t double-touching.

“The hog-line official was there for six ends. Never said a thing.”

When asked why he swore at Eriksson, he said: “He’s still accusing us of cheating, and I didn’t like it.

“So I told him where to stick it, because we’re the wrong team to do that to.

“So I don’t care. He might have been upset that he was losing.”
