Nigerian Senator representing the Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, voiced his opposition to a bill aimed at establishing Training and Nigerian Development in Nigeria.

He shared his views in a viral video on Tuesday during a discussion regarding the bill.

According to him, the bill is unnecessary since the Nigerian government’s Ministries, Departments, and Agencies already have established training divisions.

He expressed his frustration over the country’s tendency to create laws for every issue.

“What does Training and Nigerian Development mean? We have created numerous institutions, and every organization has a training department. Why are we legislating on everything, including Training and Nigerian Development? It doesn't make sense to me. With all due respect, Sir. Laws are meant to be laws, not mere motions.”

In reply, the Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, acknowledged Oshiomhole’s comments regarding the bill.
