Manchester United are the standout team that will be in the hat for the second round draw after their poor season last term left them with no continental football in 2025/26.

The Red Devils will also be joined in the hat by the likes of Leeds , Sunderland , Brighton , West Ham and Everton .

The draw for the Carbao Cup second round will take place on Wednesday, August 13.

The event will take place during the build-up to Birmingham vs Sheffield United at St Andrew’s.

That means the draw will likely begin at between 7pm and 7.30pm BST.
