The Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, Allen Onyema, has announced that the airline will not tolerate unruly behavior from passengers starting January 2026.

Onyema issued this warning on Sunday during an interview on Arise Television, which was monitored by DAILY POST.

“There are actions that Nigerian passengers would not dare to take outside the country, yet they feel free to do so on our flights. Beginning in January, we will be compelled to take legal action,” he stated.

“Some behaviors that passengers would avoid in Cotonou are exhibited here, which is regrettable. If you witnessed the behavior of some individuals who boarded our flight from London, would they dare to act like that on British Airways?”

“They upgraded themselves to business class despite having only paid for economy. Once on board, they produced three bottles of rum and began threatening others on the aircraft.”

“Upon our arrival, someone contacted me to intervene on their behalf, but I clarified that it is not my decision to release them; it is the law that governs this situation.”

“I want to emphasize that starting January 1, we will no longer tolerate unruly behavior from passengers, as we believe they are being enabled by the system,” he added.
