POISONED meat has been discovered in popular parks leaving animals seriously ill or dead, as police issue a warning.
Toxic chicken was found in two of London’s green spaces and one dog who reportedly ate the meat was left seriously ill while several foxes have died.

Officers believe the meat may have been left in Holland Park and Brompton Cemetery deliberately to endanger foxes or .
Over the last few days one dog has reportedly eaten the meat and became “very unwell” while two foxes were found dead with no obvious signs of injury.
A professional dog walker told the that this isn’t the first time items have been left to target dogs.
Kris Sikora said: “Before we’ve had toys that have been left around that have been poisoned. The worst one that really shocked me was razor blades being left in balls.”
He advised owners to take their dogs to the vets if they see them eating something unknown.
The have urged dog owners and walkers to stay alert and stop their from scavenging in the area.
It added that in Brompton Cemetery, dogs should be kept on a lead at all times.
One woman walking in Holland Park with her pet said: “I’m totally disgusted. I can’t even imagine why anyone would do that.”
A second told the BBC: “It’s absolutely horrendous. I’m not sure if someone’s doing it for a spiteful reason.”
They added that the toxic chicken might stop people bringing their dogs to the park.

Several dogs became unwell after visiting Parkhurst Forest and owners were warned about a suspected poisoning.
Some dogs needed treatment from the vet after consuming a substance left in the forest.
Dog walkers were urged to stay away from the beauty spot and signs were put up to warn visitors.
In 2024, sausages laced with suspected poison were discovered in an idyllic town.
The alarm was raised by a horrified dog walker who found the slices of meat scattered along a river in Clyst Honiton.
The woman raced to and shared photos of the dark blue substance pressed into the sausage.
“Be aware walking your dog on the river, someone has left bits of sausage in the grass with blue stuff in it. I found several bits,” she wrote on the community Facebook page.
