Former Crystal Palace Chairman, Simon Jordan has been left bemused as to why Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was seen posing for photographs with new recruit Wesley Fofana.
Chelsea signed the France star in a multi-million pounds deal on Wednesday with the 21-year-old on a seven-year contract.
At his unveiling at Stamford Bridge, the American club owner, Boehly stood in a photograph with the former Leicester City star.
“Horses for courses, Americans are natural showmen,” Jordan told talkSPORT.
“They are never in the background, they are always in the front and that is part and parcel of the American way.
“You have to give a lot of credit because it is one of the biggest capital economies in the world.
“But as a football club owner, I would have rather shot myself in the face, rather than stand next to one of our signings. Leave it to the manager, thank you very much.
“I will see him when he is scoring goals, or selling him when he hasn’t.”
