The senior tour allows golfers to utilize golf carts, and most events follow a 54-hole format.

One fan suggested that the new format could provide a viable path for Woods to make a successful comeback to the sport.

They commented: “I believe this could be an excellent opportunity for him to gain more experience and then compete in the larger events on the PGA. I can envision one more strong run from the big cat in his early 50s.”

Another supporter added: “If Tiger is determined, he will win every tournament he enters in the Champions Tour. He will break every record he aims for. It will be exciting to watch.”

Woods has faced a challenging year after suffering an injury, followed by a ruptured Achilles tendon while training at home the next month in preparation for the upcoming season.

He then underwent surgery, which has further postponed his return to the game.

The 15-time major champion has not yet confirmed his interest in joining the senior tour.

At the moment, he is focused on his recovery, which he admitted is not progressing as quickly as he had hoped.

Earlier this month, he stated: “Once I get accustomed to practicing, building strength, and playing, I can evaluate where I’ll play and how frequently.”

“I’m still quite a distance from making that decision and the level of commitment it requires.”

When asked about his recovery from surgery, he responded: “It’s not progressing as quickly as I would like.”

“It was a necessary procedure, and while it takes time and dedication to the rehabilitation process, it was the right choice,” Woods remarked about his recovery.

“Unfortunately, I have been through this rehabilitation process before, and it’s a step-by-step journey.”

“There’s not much you can do post-disc replacement, but now I have the green light to start intensifying my workouts at the gym and building strength.”

“I haven’t played golf in a long time, and this year has been quite difficult.”

“I’ve had to sit on the sidelines for several months this year and at the end of last year. I’m eager to return to simply playing golf again.”

Woods’ career has been plagued by a series of injuries since his rise to prominence.

He previously had a rod placed in his tibia and screws inserted in his foot following emergency surgery.

Since the horrific crash that nearly led to the amputation of his right leg, he has only participated in 11 PGA tour events.

Woods is widely regarded as the greatest golfer in the history of the sport, having won 82 PGA Tour titles, which is tied for the most in history.

He has also clinched the Masters five times and has three titles each at the US Open and the PGA Championship.
