A MURDER probe has been launched after a 19-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a seaside town in the early hours of the morning.

Emergency crews rushed to respond to Whitstable, Kent, at around 2am this morning after receiving reports of a serious assault.

A 19-year-old was found at the scene suffering with injuries consistent with stab wounds, cops said.

An air ambulance was scrambled and medics battled to save the teen’s life.

Despite the best efforts of paramedics he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

Kent Police has since launched a murder investigation into the tragedy and are appealing for any information that may assist their probe.

Forensic officers were seen in the area this morning as detectives began investigating the incident.

A forensic tent was set up at the scene with Belmont Road in the town closed off while emergency crews worked.

The force said: “Kent Police was called at 2.04am on Friday 3 April 2026 to reports of a serious assault on Belmont Road, Whitstable.

“Officers and paramedics attended and a 19 year old boy sustained injuries consistent with stab wounds. He was confirmed deceased at the scene.

“A murder investigation has been launched and anyone with information which could assist officers should call 01843 222289, quoting reference 03-0102.
