Emily, the only survivor of the infamous Suffolk Strangler, has now told how on a night out she was forced to run away from the serial killer several times before someone finally stepped in to help.
Speaking to Sky News Emily said she was made to feel like “a silly little girl” when police finally arrived to assist her.
She went on to claim that cops failed to follow up on her terrifying ordeal with a full even after the body of Victoria Hall was discovered.
Emily was just 22-years-old in 1999 when the harrowing ordeal unfolded as she was walking home from a club with her husband and another couple.
She and her pal ended up ahead of their husbands before Emily’s friend had to go, leaving the 22-year-old alone.
During the Emily recalled seeing a car going forwards and then backwards past her.
The motor then stopped in the road and the driver climbed out, leaving the engine running and the door open, Emily said.
At first she thought the driver was going to the toilet before she realised that he was just standing there, watching her.
Terrified Emily fled and leapt over a nearby garden wall and knocked on someone’s door for help but found no one home.
The young woman then saw the car turn off the road before she tried to sneak away unseen, dropping to all fours and peering round a corner to see if the driver was still there.
Emily described the horrifying moment that she then came face to face with the .
She said: “Suddenly he was literally right there. He stepped right into me. He said ‘alright’ in a low, sleazy way.

For a while she heard the motor driving around the area, but before long it was silent so she believed she was safe.
Walking back down to the road Emily was horrified to see the man was still there in his car.
She fled again and began knocking on doors until she got an answer from a homeowner.
The terrified woman told how the killer was just in his car laughing at her the whole time as she pleaded for help.
Eventually someone answered their door and dialled 999 to bring the .
But Emily claims the police were little help when they did arrive, saying they treated her story like a fantasy.
Emily told Sky News : “The police came, but they didn’t believe me at all, they said ‘come on, how much have you had to drink tonight?'”
She claims she had only drunk a soda water and one or two beers earlier in the pub.
Emily asked the officers for a lift home and offered up the number plate of the car that had followed her.
She said she offered to make a statement but that the cops were dismissive to her.
The following day Emily left to go travelling in .

From the Himalayas, Emily gave a statement to the describing her ordeal that evening.
That was the last she heard about the matter, Emily said.
It wasn’t until 2006 that the , the same man, murdered five sex workers he picked up from Ipswich’s red-light district.
Their bodies were later found in rural areas far from where they had disappeared just as Victoria’s had been.
The first to go missing were Tania Nicol, 19, who vanished on 30 October, followed by Gemma Adams, 25, two weeks later.
While Tania and Gemma’s bodies were not found until December other bodies were discovered in October and November 2006.
Evil Wright’s six victims include Tania Nicol, 19, Gemma Adams, 25, Anneli Alderton, 24, Paula Clennell, 24, Annette Nicholls, 29, and 17-year-old Victoria Hall.
Wright wasn’t arrested until December 21, he denied all charges but was slapped with a whole life jail term after his conviction in February 2008.
He wasn’t for 20 years and changed his plea over the killing to guilty at the start of his trial on Monday.
Wright, who is due to be sentenced today, admitted killing Victoria and attempting to abduct Emily.
Emily, who was living abroad when evil Wright murdered five women in Ipswich, says she is suffering from survivor’s guilt.
She didn’t see a picture of serial killer Wright until Victoria’s case was reopened, and questions why she wasn’t shown an image of him sooner.
