Storm Bram began on Monday and cleared up by Wednesday.

It brought winds of up to 90 miles per hour, leading to the issuance of amber warnings.

Bram also inundated parts of the country with torrential rain, with as much as 104.7mm falling in certain areas.

Worcestershire experienced a heavy downpour, resulting in the county’s iconic cricket ground being completely submerged again.

On Wednesday, videos and images of a flooded New Road began to circulate on social media.

However, it wasn't just the field that was underwater.

Various sections of the ground itself were flooded, with footage showing multiple areas of the stands submerged.

New Road, located near the River Severn, is no stranger to flooding.

Last April, it was overwhelmed by water just three days before the cricket season was set to begin.

This flooding occurred only three months after the ground also suffered from severe weather conditions.

Additionally, the ground was completely submerged in the summer of 2019 after a significant downpour caused the Severn to overflow.

Understandably, the county ground will remain closed until the water levels recede.
