The 29-year-old will also serve three years in community corrections before probation.

Appearing in mugshots wearing pigtail, she must also register as a sex offender for life.

The victim will also receive $14,000 in restitution.

Castro was taken into custody after the victim’s parents notified the Arvada Department back in October 2024.

They handed over evidence that showed the former social worker engaging in an inappropriate relationship with their child.

The exact age of the boy is unclear but those in sixth grade are typically between 11 and 12 years old.

An affidavit – obtained by 9News – revealed the child’s parents discovered inappropriate messages between their son and Castro.

It is thought the married woman first met the victim at the end of his sixth-grade year.

According to the document, it wasn’t before long that she asked him to be her boyfriend.

When the boy’s parents tried to take his phone from him, the child quickly logged out of all his accounts and changed his passwords.

However, it wasn’t before the boy’s father saw messages from “Chloe Castro”, as well as multiple exchanges with a “Jeremy”.

During a police interview, the victim confirmed he saved Castro’s number under “Jeremy”, and that they met up while he was still finishing sixth grade.

He also confessed that Castro asked him to be her boyfriend, and even that they planned to move to New Mexico together.

To make matters worse, it was revealed that Castro was married but that she and her husband had an understanding that she could have two partners.

“There is no sentence that I could ask for which will give the community their trust back in Jefferson County Public ,” the prosecutor said in court.

“There is not a sentence that will take away the trauma this child suffered.

Castro then addressed the court, saying that she is committed to treatment.

The disgraced educator added that she will never work with children again.
