REAL MADRID are interested in bringing Didier Deschamps to the Bernabeu after the 2026 World Cup.

According to reports from RMC Sport, Deschamps, 57, has garnered attention from teams across Europe, including Real Madrid.
None are likely to prevail over the lure of Madrid, if indeed the Spanish giants come calling, but what Deschamps will do next is not currently clear.
Current Madrid manager, Alvaro Arbeloa, 43, has been in charge since January after replacing , 44.
But like his fellow Spaniard, Arbeloa has struggled to ignite a spark in this Madrid side brimming with stars.
They currently sit second in LaLiga, seven points adrift of El Clasico rivals Barcelona, and are fighting a 2-1 deficit in their Champions League quarter-final second leg with Bayern Munich.
Deschamps has all the attributes of a Madrid manager.
Madrid are a side who attract the biggest stars in the game, and Deschamps is no stranger to managing world class players having led a French side blessed with talent, to World Cup glory in 2018.
Swapping one legend for another, Zinedine Zidane is set to take the reigns of the French national team.
Zidane, 53, was in charge of Madrid for five years where he became the first manager to win three Champions League titles on the bounce.

Xabi Alonso is another manager who could be back in the dugout soon.
Alonso was hailed by plaudits following his successful spell in charge of Bayer Leverkusen where he guided them to a first ever Bundesliga title.

Once a “Galactico”, his return to Madrid as head coach fell flat, and following a brutal sacking, the Spaniard is now attracting interest from England.
Alonso is understood to be looking to return to management and it has been suggested he could take charge of Liverpool or Man City.

They could turn to their former player if the Dutchman is unable to turn the tide, and the appointment would be a popular one.
