One of Charlotte’s teachers, Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, has a special connection to the young royal as she recently married Charlotte’s godfather, Thomas van Straubenzee – a lifelong friend of Prince William.

Lucy and Thomas were due to get married in April, but the nuptials were cancelled due to the pandemic and instead they tied the knot in July in an intimate ceremony.

And it’s been a testing time for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, with Prince William confessing his patience is “shorter” than he thought.

Opening up about the experience on BBC Radio 5Live’s That Peter Crouch podcast, he said, “I’ve found it pretty testing, not going to lie, trying to keep the children engaged in some kind of work, it’s been an interesting few months.

“I’ve learned through homeschooling that my patience is a lot shorter than I thought it was, that’s probably been the biggest eye opener for me, and that my wife has super patience.”

The future King continued, “Basically we’re a good team tag session, I come in with the children and try and get them to do something and Catherine comes in when frankly everything has gone wrong.”
