THE FIRST pictures showing the aftermath of the horror car crash involving Rangers star Dujon Sterling have emerged.

Sterling was following his team’s win in the Old Firm derby match at Parkhead on Saturday.

Gers won 3-1 to pull level on points with rivals Celtic in the Premiership title race – with both teams six points behind leaders Hearts.

Sterling, 26, played the full 90 minutes of the game at Celtic Park and indeed was a standout performer for Danny Rohl on the day.

However, at around 1.25am on Sunday, police were called after a car had crashed in the Cowcaddens area of Glasgow.

It emerged that the driver of the car was Gers defender Sterling – with the motor completely written off.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.25am on Sunday, 4 January, 2026, police received a report of a one-vehicle crash on West Graham Street, Glasgow.

“There were no injuries reported. The driver, a 26-year-old man, was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

“He’s expected to appear at court at a later date.”

Images obtained SunSport show that the car Sterling smashed into pavement barriers on a section of the road that sat above the M8 motorway.

It then came to a crushing halt after crashing into the railings of the road bridge, only narrowly missing a tree.

The airbags in the car have all burst, the bonnet was hanging off and the rear of the motor was suspended in the air up against one of the roadside barriers.

The Scottish Sun has also seen pictures of the scene in the hours after the crash, with temporary pedestrian barriers erected to replace what the car destroyed.

Sterling had, in the immediate aftermath of his team’s victory, aimed a brutal swipe at under-fire Celtic boss Wilfried Nancy via social media.

SunSport has approached Rangers for comment.
