Young Sheldon may be a boy genius on TV, but he has easily become one of the biggest players of the small screen, and many subscribers are wondering when the popular period sitcom will be available to stream on Netflix.
The streaming service is known to have showcased some of the best TV shows viewers have ever had the pleasure of watching, and even though some may not stick around forever, its time spent within the library of Netflix is always immensely appreciated by a large number of subscribers it has achieved over the years. These include hits like The Office, The Good Place, Family Guy, Arrested Development, The Crew, Parks and Recreation, and more, leaving many to speculate that Young Sheldon could be another amusing title to add to the mix.
The show is a prequel spinoff to The Big Bang Theory, another sitcom that features a character named Sheldon Cooper as a next-level genius as an adult in college and beyond. Young Sheldon showcases the zany nerd genius well before those days as nine years in East Texas attending high School.
The series is set in the late 1980s, and early 1990s stars Iain Armitage, Zoe Perry, Lance Barber, Annie Potts, Wallace Shawn, Reagan Revord, Montana Jordan, and more. Young Sheldon has a lot going for it, including its roster, nominations, accolades, acclaim, ratings, and a three-season renewal in March 2021, leaving it an ideal addition to the content offered on Netflix.
When will Young Sheldon be on Netflix?
The news regarding the status of Young Sheldon’s future with Netflix isn’t ideal and will feel like getting sucked into a black hole. There are no plans at this time to have any of the episodes of the series, which there currently 80 so far over four seasons to air on the streaming service.
If fans do want to check out Young Sheldon, it can be found on a number of VOD platforms where episodes are available to rent and purchase. As far as streaming goes, the series can be found on Hulu, HBO Max, Paramount+, and Amazon Prime.Next: 50 best Netflix shows to watch right now
