A deal with Sony was announced to have titles like Uncharted, Morbius, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. Unfortunately, the agreement doesn’t take effect until 2022, and given the fact that Spider-Man: No Way Home comes out a few weeks before the new year, it would seem it will be in theaters with its streaming future remaining unknown at this time.

If the Sony motion picture is forced to delay again, it could mean that subscribers may get to experience the wall-crawler’s next adventure. Only time will tell.

Spider-Man: No Way Home synopsis

Plot details are scarce for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the official synopsis has yet to come out. But it isn’t tricky for those who have been keeping track of the entire ordeal to make an educated guess as to what the narrative could entail.

Peter Parker saw himself in some serious hot water at the end of the last feature, and it will be investing to see how things play out when the next spidey film finally makes its way to the big screen. Footage released by JK Simmon’s ridiculous YouTube truther conspiracist J. Jonah Jameson implicated the hero as the murderer of Mysterio and outed his secret identity.

A lot of rumors have also come out regarding the Multiverse, and it would seem that Spider-Man: No Way Home will bring the Spider-Verse into the MCU, allowing for the return and debut of other wall-crawlers from other dimensions. The concept worked very well for the Acadamy award-winning film Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse that saw characters like Spider-Woman, Spider-Ham, and Spider-Man Noir and more fight alongside Miles Morales Spider-Man.

If this does turn out to be accurate, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be one MCU flick fans will not want to miss, and it’s safe to assume that whatever goes down, people will not be disappointed by the Jon Watts directed feature.
