Just because spooky season is months away doesn’t mean we can’t get excited about all the jump scares and sleepless nights to come.

Horror series are honestly one of the best things on TV right now, and with great shows like American Horror Story and Haunted in existence, it’s safe to say that there will never be a shortage of quality sinister shows.

Adding to that ever-growing list of horror shows is filmmaker Mike Flanagan’s upcoming, Netflix original horror series called Midnight Mass, which is expected to be one that’ll have you sleeping with the lights on.

As the Netflix show is quickly on its way, we’re here to tell you everything you need to know about this eerie series.

Midnight Mass release date

As of right now, an official release date for the series has yet to be released, but we’re predicting that it may release sometime during the Halloween season.

Netflix released Flanagan’s two other Netflix shows, The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor, in October of 2018 and 2020, respectively.

We’ll be sure to let you know once there is a release date announcement. Fingers crossed for one soon.

Midnight Mass plot synopsis

The bad news was that there is no date to expect Midnight Mass, but the good news is, we have something else in store! Thankfully, we already have an official synopsis for the horror drama and you can read it down below:

An isolated island community experiences miraculous events – and frightening omens – after the arrival of a charismatic, mysterious young priest.

Additionally, there is expected to be seven or eight episodes in the first season.

Midnight cast

The cast of Midnight Mass features a few faces that you may have seen before including The Haunting of Hill House actresses Kate Siegel and Annabeth Gish, Zach Gilford, Hamish Linklater, Michael Trucco, Samantha Sloyan, and Henry Jackson Thomas Jr. who starred in the Netflix horror series The Haunting of Bly Manor. Rahul Kohli of Bly Manor and Henry Thomas of Hill House and Bly Manor will also be in the new series.

Actors Matt Biedel, Rahul Abburi, Igby Rigney, and Robert Longstreet are set to join the cast, and actresses Crystal Balint, Annarah Cymone, Alex Essoe, and Samantha Sloyan are also starring in the upcoming release.

Midnight Mass trailer

A trailer for the upcoming series has yet to be released, but it is possible that one is on the way very soon.

It has been reported that filming and production for the upcoming horror have wrapped, which could hint at a trailer dropping sometime this year.

Be sure to check back on Netflix Life for updates on this upcoming show! You definitely don’t want to miss out on all this spooky.
