This time she’s not donning the leather of a vigilante; Winstead will play an assassin with one hell of a revenge plan.
With only 24 hours to live after being poisoned, Kate decides to spend her last moments among the living fighting her way to her killer. If she’s being dragged to the gates of death, then she’ll be taking her assailant with her in a blaze of vengeance and righteous fury.
Kate is the kind of action thriller you’ll want to put on your watch list—but when can Netflix subscribers expect the movie to land on the platform? Here’s what we know.
Kate release date
This assassin’s tale doesn’t have a specific release date yet, but it is slated for a fall 2021 release. A blink and you’ll miss it clip from the movie appeared in Netflix’s 2021 film preview.
EW has also provided a first look at Winstead’s fierce and deadly titular character as well as her unexpected companion, a teen by the name of Ani (Miku Martineau) who forms a bond with Kate as she stalks the streets of Tokyo for her murderer.
Other than its release date planned for later in the year, there’s not much else known about this high adrenaline revenge story, but we’re anticipating lots of blood and mayhem.
We’ll keep you posted on Kate release date news as it rolls in. For now, we think the film will drop between September and November on Netflix, because of the fall projection. It would be nice to see the movie release on the earlier end of that spectrum and cap off the summer film season as one last thrill ride.Next: When is Uncharted coming to Netflix?
