Building your own theme based on Underscores can sure be fun. But wouldn’t it be great to just generate some common site elements that you need, ditch the other ones, and begin your work with a massive head start?

This is what Components gives you. As the creators say:

Components is a library of shareable, reusable patterns for WordPress themes.

As part of Components, you get theme structures for magazine sites, modern blogs, portfolio sites, business sites, classic blogs, and a basic blank site. Each of those structures is different. For instance, if you choose the magazine theme, it will provide you with the elements useful on a magazine site. componentscomponents
