Netflix hasn’t had many new series releasing for the month of April, but the titles that have made their way to the streaming platform are some great ones. Shows like the limited series The Serpent and Dad Stop Embarrassing Me! have been well received with subscribers. Next up is the Netflix original thriller series Fatma, which will release late-night tonight on April 27.
Fatma stars Turkish actress Burcu Biricik as the titular character, who is a non-descript cleaning lady with a dark secret. After experiencing a tragedy in her life, she goes on a murderous streak and becomes the most unlikely serial killer.
The official first look at Fatma is a refreshing break from trailers that reveal too much. This intense look at the series gives you just enough information to will make you want to see more of Fatma’s story. The first season is comprised of six episodes and is a thriller drama with a strong female empowerment theme.

Fatma doesn’t go around killing random people. Each person she kills is bringing her closer to her goal of finding her missing husband. She goes about her day doing a job she was hired to do, and what better occupation to cover up murders than being a cleaning lady?
The series is created and directed by Ozgur Onurme and produced by Basak Abacigil. Fatma also stars Ugur Yucel, Mehmet Yilmaz Ak, Hazal Turesan, Olgun Toker, Gulcin Kultur Sahin, Deniz Hamzaoglu and Cagdas Onur Ozturk.
