Control Z is a Mexican teen drama starring Ana Valeria Becerril, Michael Ronda, Yankel Stevan and Zion Moreno. The exciting narrative follows the aftermath of an event involving a mysterious hacker exposing a student’s secret at an assembly. But it doesn’t stop there, as others are subject to the same humiliating treatment.

This leads introvert Sofie Herrera to cover who this evil digital whistleblower truly is before her own dirt. The series released on May 22, 2020, and on May 29, the show was renewed for a second season, making this must-watch endeavor just the beginning, and subscribers know going in there will be more entries down the line.

The Belgian apocalyptic sci-fi drama thriller is without a doubt an edge-of-your-seat experience that viewers do not want to miss.

The Netflix original series created by Jason George is based on the Polish science fiction novel written by Jack Dukaj called Axotl that came out in 2015. The story follows a group of people on a flight that gets hijacked by an Italian NATO officer who demands they take off early.

Then, the people aboard become some of the only survivors from a deadly global event that involves any living organism dying during daylight hours. Dealing with a plethora of impactful issues, these people must ban together and keep the sun behind them in a desperate attempt to make it the safety of an underground military bunker. Into the Night offers up six entertaining entries with another season on the way.

Thankfully, Netflix has just the thing for those out there looking for such a double threat. The South African series Queen Sono has a magnificent Rotten Tomatoes score indicating one of the many reasons to add this show to one’s watch list.

Queen Sono follows a South African clandestine agent who takes down criminal operations while dealing with a conflict in her personal life. The performances, locations, visuals, and narrative are all top-notch. It debuted on Netflix on February 28, 2020, and was renewed for a second season a few months later.

But due to complications from the COVID-19 pandemic, the streaming network had to say goodbye to the series. It’s possible that if enough people continue to treat the series, it may be possible to reignite the demand for more episodes, which could help change the minds of the powers that be on their decision not move forward with additional season.

The Russian series To The Lake offers a very thought-provoking look at what could happen if things got out of hand during an outbreak of a deadly virus. The show is based on the debut novel of writer Yana Vagner titled Vongozero that came out in 2011. It is without a doubt a must-watch endeavor for fans of The Walking Dead or Fear the Walking Dead looking for a more intense experience.

The story follows two families who risk their lives during the aftermath of the outbreak and the horrors that one faces when pushed to the brink in an effort to save the ones they hold dear. Not only do they have to outrun the terrible plague, but they also must stay away from the other survivors who will go to any lengths not to get infected.

To The Lake does a magnificent job of offering up an intriguing drama that defies expectations at every turn resulting in a nice change of pace for a genre that is known for just putting out carbon copies of its predecessors to less than ideal results.

The series has been very well-received by Netflix subscribers, and To The Lake has earned itself a much-deserved perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. There a lot of reasons to binge-watch the eight entries available or at least get through it in a weekend.

Automation is officially taking over industry after industry, and robots are becoming less like science fiction every day, making shows like Westworld and Humans some seriously compelling TV for those fascinated by these technological game-changers. Netflix subscribers should absolutely check out another well-crafted robot-centric story called Better Than Us.

Better Than Us tells the stirring story set in the year 2029 of a family going through tough times with one another and are unfortunately on the verge of splitting up. Things change when they acquire a cutting-edge robot that is programmed to be a mother and wife to aid in the lack of marriageable women due to China’s one-child policy. The problem is there are homicide investigators and terrorists that are after this android as well.

The Russian series offers up an enticing sci-fi drama that will hook subscribers instantly and keep them glued to the screen until the credits roll. With 16 episodes available, this sci-fi drama could be an epic binge session or a long-term affair that will hold over with significant replay value until the green-lit next chapter arrives.

Most people remember them as The Grudge, which showcased a terrifying child and a contorted lady doing all kinds of dreadful and frightening things. Netflix decided to take subscribers back to where it all began and tell the origin story of how this entire ordeal started with JU-ON: Origins.

The Japanese horror genre has been a fan favorite among those who enjoy watching things that result in sleeping with the lights on for months at a time, and the Ju-On franchise has many great titles within the eerie category of films. The story of the property has to do with a curse being created when a person dies with a deep and powerful rage occupying a house condemning anyone to a horrifying fate that enters.

The show’s story follows the events that take place after a rookie actress named Honjo Haruka seeks counsel from a psychic researcher, Odajima Yasuo, after seeing him on TV to help her figure out why she keeps hearing the sound of footsteps in her house at night.

JU-ON: Origins has a solid Rotten Tomatoes score, and the six-episode count makes it an ideal weekend binge session to scare Netflix subscribers.

The South Korean show is based on the Daum webtoon Amazing Rumor by Jang Yi stars Jo Byung-gyu, Yoo Jun-sang, Kim Se-jeong and Yeom Hye-rana.

The narrative for The Uncanny Counter follows a disabled high school student named So Mun, the lead character of the series, who is enlisted to become a member of a group called Counters. They are paranormal hunters who search for evil spirits that excuse the afterlife in order to prey upon humans and use whatever means necessary to fight against them to save the day.

The task of banishing evil spirits is no easy job, but The Uncanny Counter does an exceptional job of making it look like an incredibly entertaining thing to watch over and over again. The show has earned an impressive audience score on rotten tomatoes and will surely not disappoint anyone that checks it out.

The fantasy mystery thrill has sixteen episodes in its first seasons, leaving subscribers with plenty of action to keep them entertained until the next chapter, which has already been announced, arrives.

The Netflix original follows a loner high school student named Hyun, who lost his whole family in a tragic accident and is forced to leave his home and move into an apartment. Then, things take a horrifying turn as people begin to turn into terrifying monsters, and Hyun, as well as the other survivors, must find a way to protect themselves while being trapped in the apartment building.

The show was the first Korean series to enter the Netflix Top 10 in the United States and was viewed by 22 million subscribers worldwide during its first four weeks of release, appearing at the top of the charts on the popular streaming service in more than 70 countries, according to K-Pop Map.

It was revealed by Variety, at one point, that the show had been viewed by 18 million households in the first month and made it to the streaming service’s top ten charts.

The crime drama thriller Stranger is a South Korean series available on Netflix that stands out as one of the best the genre has to offer on the streaming service. That’s really sayings something considering its robust lineup. The show comes from Studio Dragon, the production company behind the extremely popular South Korean series Sweet Home, and this enticing affair is an instantly riveting ordeal that does not disappoint.

The show follows the unlikely duo of a gutsy female detective named Han Yeo Jin, played by Bae Doona, and an emotionless prosecutor named Hwang Shi Mok, played by Cho Seung-woo. Together, the two investigate a strange murder case amidst the emergence of political corruption.

As they start to unravel the clues, it becomes clear that there are more enormous forces at play here ranking much higher than their pay grade, and when MI6 steps on their toes, they definitely know something big is going down.

The series available on Netflix also stars Billie Piper, who fans will recognize from Secret Diary of a Call Girl, Dr. Who, and Penny Dreadful. She received a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 2019 British Academy Television Awards for her role in Collateral.

In their efforts to find a safe place, they join a group of survivors venturing across Denmark and Sweden. They begin looking for their father, who may have the answers they need to find a vital cure.

The stirring Netflix original series premiered on May 4, 2018 and stars Alba August, Lucas Lynggaard Tonnesn, Mikkel Folsgaard, Lukas Lokken, Jessica Dinnage, Angela Bundalovic, and Sonny Lindberg. The Rain is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, and once you start enjoying this exceptional, post-apocalyptic sci-fi drama, viewers will find it difficult not to binge the entire series consisting of three seasons in one sitting.

Sky Rojo is an action thriller crime drama that follows three prostitutes, Gina, Wendy, and Coral who are on the run after they kill their Madame and gravely injure their pimp Romeo. Together, they will have to embark on a car-chase-fueled, gun shooting escape attempt as they try to stay two steps ahead of Moises and Christian, Romeo’s two henchmen.

The series is a crime drama romance that draws from real-life events of the Mafia Capitale investigation and is easily a must-watch affair if there ever was one.

Suburra: Blood on Rome takes place in 2008 when a fight over a seaside town close to Rome spirals out of control into a brutal and deadly battle for control between different organized crime factions, corrupt politicians, and churchmen from the Vatican. This well-crafted Mafia story taking place on the streets of Rome is nothing short of an incredibly entertaining experience that should no one sleep on anymore.

The first season of Suburra: Blood on Rome received a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.

The dystopian science fiction thriller drama 3% was the first Portuguese language series on Netflix and the second non-English production the streaming service had ever embarked on, after Club de Cuervos, of course. The show started out as an independent pilot episode back in 2009 and then became a full-fledged program consisting of eight episodes to start things off on November 25, 2016.

3% is a post-apocalyptic thriller taking place in a near-future Brazil. In the story, a few from the impoverished inland are selected to join a privileged offshore society if they can complete something called “The Process, “ with only the titular amount of people making it through the endeavor.

Since its arrival, the series has garnered several accolades and achievements as well as a robust amount of positive acclaim. Outlets like Indiewire gave the show a B+ rating saying it left them “Surprised and impressed.” The entire affair has a very impressive score on Rotten Tomatoes.

As the zombie apocalypse takes over Rio de Janeiro, leaving chaos and mayhem to ensue, production runner Nina leads the fight against the hordes of monsters the survivors must band together to survive against.

The Netflix original series is based on the miniseries Dead Set which was created by Black Mirror and Death to 2020’s Charlie Brooker, The origin, story, action, pacing, and performances all provide ample enough reasons to make this comedy-horror show the next thing to binge on the popular streaming service.

The well-crafted series that stars Luna Wedler and Jessica Schwarz was released on August 20, 2020, and a week later, it was green-lit for another season. The thought-provoking show was very well received, receiving critical acclaim, and even the science community praised the show’s authenticity.

Biohackers has an excellent Rotten Tomatoes score and offers up a six-episode technological thrill ride unlike anything else ready to binge on Netflix right now.

The show’s narrative focuses on a commander in the Mista’arvim unit named Moron Kabilio as they pursue “The Panther,” a dangerous Hamas arch-terrorist. Raz, who also stars in the series as Doron, may look somewhat familiar to subscribers as he was also the main villain in another Netflix hit, the Ryan Reynolds action flick 6 Underground.

Fauda has been a significant hit with fans and critics alike, garnering a very impressive perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes. The series has won serval accolades, including multiple honors at the Israeli Academy Awards and the Israeli TV Academy Awards.

Everything goes well for a while until Seo Min-hee, who is also in the same business, gets caught by the cops. What unfolds is nothing short of a brilliant crime drama that fans of the genre as well as subscribers looking for an exciting binge session. The show stars Kim Dong-hee, Park Ju-Hyun, and Jun Da-bin.

Extracurricular was one of the most-watched South Korean series on Netflix in 2020 and was very well-received by critics. There was significant praise given towards the precise depiction of struggles teenage students experience.

But things are not what they seem at all as the Jutul’s are no ordinary wealthy family. They are actually Frost giants and giantesses in disguise.

The only one that can stand against them is a teenager named Magne, who has become the embodiment of the Norse thunder god Thor. Armed with extraordinary abilities, he is able to fight against those destroying the planet.

A second season will arrive on May 27, 20221, so there is plenty of time for subscribers to complete their destiny to either rewatch the first iteration or experience it for the first time in one epic binge session.
