Nollywood adaptation of Tunde Leye's 'Finding Hubby' hits cinemas in November

Femi Ogunsanwo, a movie producer and director, says Nollywood’s adaptation of ‘Finding Hubby’, a story by Tunde Leye, is set to hit cinemas nationwide in November.

Ogunsanwo, who recently broke the news to journalists, said the movie, which is the remake of the 2012 fan-favorite, captures the narrative of 35-year-old Oyin Clegg’s search for her prince.

He further said ‘Finding Hubby’ also details the journey of Toke and Gloria, the main character’s two friends, in an adventure of “kissing the many frogs” amid their respective quest to find their men.

“The cast and crew of the movie have been carefully selected to ensure that the viral story is retold on video without losing any of the elements that made it a fan-favorite,” the movie director said.

“It was an exhilarating experience creating a movie out of this story that was followed by over two million people online and on the radio.

“I can’t wait for fans to see what will definitely be the most talked-about movie this year.”

He added that ‘Finding Hubby’ explored themes of friendship, love and finding happiness in oneself.

The film producer also disclosed that the movie would be distributed by Genesis Film.

Ogunsanwo is credited for the success of films like ‘Ojukokoro’, ‘Knockout Blessing’, ‘Jemeji’, and ‘Ajoche’.
