A statement on Wednesday by the spokesman for the command, SP Asinim Butswat, said the suspect was nabbed by detectives following a tip-off.

Butswat said 28-year-old Ogon specialised in fabricating and selling locally-made guns.

He also identified him as a member of the Bobos cult operating in the state.

Butswat stated, “The suspect, Victor Ogon, from Agudama-Epie, Yenagoa LGA, a notorious member of the dreaded Bobos cult, has produced and sold several locally-made guns to cultists and armed robbers in Bayelsa State.

“Detectives are on the trail of some of the cultists, who had purchased some locally-made arms from him.”

He said the Commissioner of Police, Mike Okoli, called for the continued support of members of the public to enable the command succeeds in the task of fighting crime. (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});
