MARK WILLIAMS is considering cancelling major eye surgery after making World Championship history.

But suggested he was playing “half blind”; as he battled with deteriorating eyesight.

The three-time world champion had planned an operationto fix the problem.

But his continuing progress is giving him second thoughts.

Asked how his eyesight had affected his game at the Crucible, Williams added: “I haven’t played with glasses yet, that was my next step.

“I tried contacts, struggled with them. Looks like I’m still doing alright, half blind.”;

Williams survived reeling off four frames in a row to level at 12-12 by nicking the final frame 74-69.

The third Class of 92 member, Ronnie O’Sullivan is also into the last four.

The Rocket, 49, booked a clash with Zhao Xintong by overcoming Si Jiahui 13-9.
