MARK SELBY left snooker fans and his opponent baffled after a bizarre series of blunders at the snooker British Open.

However, during the third frame, stunned viewers as he took an incredible ten attempts to hit the cue ball against the red.
It came with the Jester attempting to catch two reds at the far end of the table.
The extraordinary sequence of play even saw Williams attempt to help by accumulating a staggering 36 penalty points.
Selby finally managed to hit the ball, much to the relief of the crowd and his opponent.
Williams, 50, jokingly sat back in his chair and pointed to his watch when the red was finally hit.
But things went from bad to worse for Selby in the following frame as he attempted to pot the black ball to win the frame, only to pot the cue ball instead and lose the frame and make the score 2-2.

Williams spoke earlier this year about his deteriorating eye vision, admitting he had a “big decision” to make over whether to have surgery.
